NASCAR officials levy fine for Leslie.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 28, 2002) - NASCAR Officials announced that Ben Leslie, crew chief of the No. 6 Ford Taurus, received a $50,000 fine for a rule violation found during post-race inspection following Sunday's Coca-Cola Racing Family 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

Leslie was penalized under Section 12-4-T in the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Series rule book,"Any car that is found to be under the specified height requirement after the completion... of the race."

The minimum height requirement is 51 inches - the No. 6 car was approximately 1/8 of an inch too low.
