Todd Bodine's National Guard crew wins Pit Crew title at Pocono

Round 14 of the McDonald's Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE was won by the pit crew of Todd Bodine's No. 54 Ford, which is sponsored by the National Guard.

Bodine's Ford spent 237 seconds on pit road - the least amount of time for cars participating in the program during Sunday's (June 8) Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway. Elliott Sadler's M&M's Ford was second at 238 seconds and the race winning Home Depot Chevrolet of Tony Stewart was third with 250 seconds.

The victory earned the National Guard crew $20,000, the amount that is paid to the weekly winning pit crew. After 14 races, the McDonald's Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE has paid out $280,000 to Winston Cup Teams.

During each 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup points event, the participating team whose car spends the least amount of aggregate time off the race track will be named the weekly winner of the McDonald's Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE, provided the team's driver takes the green flag at the beginning of the event and the checkered flag at the conclusion of the event. A timing line at the entrance and exit of pit road triggers the car's transponder and records the total time spent off the race track.

The point distribution per race is: 43 points for first place, descending in increments of one. The season champion of the McDonald's Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE will receive a $200,000 bonus.

The McDonald's Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE is the largest monetary contingency program in NASCAR history.
