===== Saying ``it's just time,'' Jimmy Johnson is stepping down from his post of general manager at Hendrick Motorsports.
Johnson said Tuesday he will continue to work for Hendrick Motorsports for at least three years, dealing with team sponsorship matters. Johnson will work out of his home in Longboat Key, Fla. Johnson and his family plan to relocate there this summer.
``I have been spending all of my vacations there since 1985 and I bought a house in Longboat Key about a year and a half ago,'' Johnson said. ``I asked Rick (Hendrick) if I could do this and he has made it possible.''
