===== Two of motorsports' top draws, NHRA Winston Funny Car champion John Force and popular NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace will join with Action Performance, maker of collectible and diecast cars, to field a pair of special-edition race cars to honor Elvis Presley.

Force, Wallace, and Action Performance CEO Fred Wagenhals will unveil the new machines at a press conference Jan. 8 in Memphis, Tenn.

The cars are part of a business alliance involving a collectible and merchandising program and cooperative project between Action and Elvis Presley Enterprises. The cars, designed by Action, are part of a yearlong motorsports promotion and celebration of NASCAR's 50th anniversary first-quarter salute to "Legends."

No debut site for the new vehicles has been announced. (NHRA Website, thanks to Benny for the heads-up). ===== Here's a report from Ron:

I quote:

"Joe Falk has purchased a new building located next door to the BGN Detroit Gasket team in the Mooresville Business Park. The Mooresville Business Park (and of course the new home for LJ Racing) is located about 3/4 of a mile from the Irredell Business Park which houses the shops for the Skittles Team, Active Motorsports, and Nemy's Bell South BGN team. Joe told me LJ Racing and it's five (whew! that's small) full-time employees will move from the old shop on Providence Mill Rd. in Maiden, NC after the first Daytona test. It will most probably be the second week of January. No news on a full-time sponsor for LJ; Joe has a crew chief in mind pending full-time sponsorship."
