Rumor: Kurt Busch out

Penske Racing to make official announcement on Monday

The rumor mill is in full swing with news from Jim Utter, on ThatsRacin.com reporting that Penske Racing plan to make an announcement on Monday, Dec. 5, regarding Kurt Busch’s exit from the team.

The development comes on the heels of a highly publicized profanity-laced tirade from Busch during a TV interview with Dr. Jerry Punch during the NASCAR season finale at Miami-Homestead.

Just a week ago, NASCAR fined the driver $50,000.

If true, this is the second time Busch has been let go because of his conduct. In 2005, after winning his first Sprint Cup championship, Busch was fired from Roush-Fenway after being cited by Avondale, Ariz. police for criminal recklessness.
