Martinsville, VA---Tickets for Martinsville Speedway’s NAPA AutoCare 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race on Sunday, October 1 go on sale Wednesday, March 1. Martinsville Speedway changed its ticket policy for the 2000 season by putting tickets for April’s Goody’s Body Pain 500 on sale last August and tickets for the NAPA AutoCare 500 on sale March 1. In the past, tickets for both races would go on sale at the same time. The new system is better for fans by allowing payment for the two races at different times of the year, according to track President Clay Campbell. Tickets for the NAPA AutoCare 500 are $40-$45 in the concrete bleacher sections and $60-$65 in the towers. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. March 1 and can be ordered by calling the speedway ticket office toll free at (877) RACE-TIX. The NAPA AutoCare 500 weekend includes the Goody’s Body Pain 200 NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour race on Saturday, September 30. The weekend kicks off with Bud Pole qualifying for the Winston Cup cars on Friday, September 29 at 3 p.m. Second round Winston Cup time trials are on Saturday, September 30 followed by the Goody’s Body Pain 200 at 1 p.m. The NAPA AutoCare 500 Winston Cup race gets underway at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 1. There still are great seats available for the Goody’s Body Pain 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race on Sunday, April 9. There are seats in the Winston, Clay Earles and Bill France towers for $60-$65 and in all of the concrete bleacher sections for $40-$45. Tickets for the NAPA 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday, April 8 also are on sale for $30 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12.
