Barber Pro Series veteran Jerry Nadeau will spend some of his off-season playing in the dirt on off days. Nadeau, who won his first Winston Cup victory in last year's finale in Atlanta, has signed to run in three to five DIRT Motorsports events in R & C Motorsports Ventures modified car in 2001.

First and foremost, the driver of the No. 25 UAW-Delphi Chevrolet will take to the new dirt track in Charlotte in April in his return to the modified ranks.

"I can't wait to get back in a modified racer," said the 30-year-old Nadeau. "I'm as competitive as anybody else, but I plan to have a lot of fun with R & C Motorsports Ventures. I had a lot of fun early in my career in modifieds. To me, fun means a lot of track time and a lot of wins, too. That's what I want to do with RCMV."
