Unconfirmed Rumors (thanx to JRF)

Quoting an article in the Easton Express-times, Easton PA. It said that in Winston Cup, John Andretti is out of the #98 (effective July Pocono) and the new driver will be Bobby Hillin. Also, in the truck series, the #75, driven by Dan Press will be driven the rest of the season by Jerry Glanville.

DW Note

Darrell Waltrip, who has only four top-10 finishes in 15 starts this season, is the only Winston Cup driver to have led at least one lap in each of the last five races. During that stretch, the three-time series champion has finished 21st, 28th, seventh, 24th and 15th. He is 15th in the season points.

Alan Kulwicki's championship race car rebuilt by Port Orange, Florida's Larry Bean will again attack the track next weekend. The "Underbird" will be used in a press preview of Hooter's Cup race scheduled next week at USA International Speedway. Mario Gosselin, Jimmy Cope and Derrick Kelley will drive the car over the three-quarter mile oval. Kulwicki raced the car in the 1992 season-finale at Atlanta Motor Speedway to win the Winston Cup title that season. Kulwicki died the following year in an airplane crash.
