What aspects do you enjoy about racing at Michigan?
"Michigan is a place that I really enjoy racing at and I've been fortunate enough to have won a few truck races there. Racing at Michigan is also a big deal since you have so many of the auto manufacturers close by, most importantly the World Headquarters for Ford Motor Company, so it's always a little added pressure to run well there. I enjoy racing at Michigan because it's a wide-open race track that's banked where you can run any line from the top to the bottom. The track surface has aged a bit now so you'll still see cars sliding around a bit. It's just a great track to race at and if your car's fast, and you can find your groove to get yourself to the front, it's kind of a perfect track for a two-mile speedway in my opinion. It's also an opportunity to go racing in the Midwest where I still have friends and family in the region, so I'm looking forward to a great weekend, and thrilled to have FreeCreditReport.com on my car as well for this weekend."
Crew Chief, Todd Parrott:
Based on the team's performance at similar tracks, what is your confidence level heading into Michigan?
"Looking ahead to Michigan this weekend, I'm pretty excited about going back to a high-banked middle-distance track. We've had some pretty great runs the past few weeks at Dover and Charlotte so we are always looking ahead to improve upon our solid performances. We always talk about California and how it's a similar track to Michigan so I hope that our car translates over as well for this weekend since we're taking the same car we ran at California. Michigan does have more banking but you are able to take notes from races at California, along with what we've been able to learn about these cars already in the first half of the season, and every week our goal is to improve upon our car's performance all weekend long. I think that we're going to have a tremendous weekend at Michigan with our No. 28 FreeCreditReport.com Ford Fusion."
