STEVE PARK (No. 1 Pennzoil Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Fresh off his first career victory last week at Watkins Glen, Park will drive the same Monte Carlo at Michigan that carried him to a 16th-place finish in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Park, who will celebrate his 33rd birthday next Wednesday, finished 29th earlier this season at Michigan. He’s ranked 13th in the NASCAR Winston Cup Standings (NWCS) and will make his 78th career start on Sunday in the Pepsi 400 Presented by Meijer.

TED MUSGRAVE (No. 01 BellSouth Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Musgrave will drive the same Monte Carlo that scored a 16th-place finish on July 23, 2000 at Pocono Raceway.

DALE EARNHARDT (No. 3 GM Goodwrench Service Plus Monte Carlo) Earnhardt will drive the same Monte Carlo on Sunday that finished second here earlier this season. The Michigan Monte Carlo made its first start this season at Texas (seventh). The seven-time NASCAR Winston Cup champion also raced it in The Winston at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (third) and the Coca-Cola 600 (third). Earnhardt finished 25th last week at Watkins Glen and ranks third in the NWCS, 217 points behind leader Bobby Labonte.

BOBBY HAMILTON (No. 4 Kodak MAX Film Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Hamilton will race a brand new Monte Carlo on Sunday at Michigan. Hamilton finished 16th last week at Watkins Glen, 43rd earlier this season at Michigan and ranks 30th in the NWCS.

TODD BODINE (No. 5 Kellogg’s Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Bodine will make his second start of the season in relief of driver Terry Labonte. Labonte’s streak of 655 consecutive races ended on Aug. 5, 2000 in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Bodine drove the Kellogg’s Monte Carlo to a 15th-place finish at Indy. Crew chief Gary DeHart and the Kellogg’s team brought a brand new Monte Carlo to Michigan.

MICHAEL WALTRIP (No. 7 NationsRent Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Waltrip will race the same Monte Carlo on Sunday that finished 22nd earlier this season at Michigan and 20th in the Brickyard 400. Waltrip finished 17th last week at Watkins Glen and ranks 27th in the NWCS.

DALE EARNHARDT Jr. (No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Earnhardt Jr. will drive Monte Carlo chassis No. 6 at Michigan on Sunday. He raced it earlier this season at Michigan and finished 13th. Earnhardt Jr. finished 13th with the same Monte Carlo at Indy, and he finished 40th last week at Watkins Glen. Earnhardt Jr. ranks 14th in the NWCS.

JEFF GORDON (No. 24 DuPont Automotive Finishes Monte Carlo) Gordon will race chassis 2443 at Michigan. He raced it on July 23 at Pocono, qualifying fifth and finishing third. Gordon qualified third and finished 14th earlier this season at Michigan. He finished 23rd last week at Watkins Glen and ranks 10th in the NWCS.

JERRY NADEAU (No. 25 Michael Holigan.com Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Nadeau will drive the same Monte Carlo at Michigan that carried him to a fourth-place finish in the Brickyard 400 on Aug. 5. Nadeau finished 23rd earlier this season at Michigan and 38th last week at Watkins Glen. He ranks 25th in the NWCS.

MIKE SKINNER (No. 31 Lowe’s Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Skinner will drive the same Monte Carlo that finished ninth at Indy. Skinner finished 20th earlier this season at Michigan and 36th last week at Watkins Glen. He ranks 12th in the NWCS.

JOE NEMECHEK (No. 33 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Nemechek will drive the same Monte Carlo at Michigan that he drove earlier this season at Dover and Pocono. Nemechek finished eighth last week at Watkins Glen and ranks 18th in the NWCS.

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Marlin will drive the same Monte Carlo that finished 10th earlier this season at Michigan. Marlin finished 30th last week at Watkins Glen and ranks 21st in the NWCS.

RICKY CRAVEN (No. 50 Midwest Transit Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Craven will drive the same Monte Carlo that finished 41st at Indy. Craven has competed in only eight races this season.

KENNY WALLACE (No. 55 Square D Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Wallace will drive chassis No. 9932 on Sunday at Michigan. He finished 24th with it earlier this season at Rockingham. Wallace ranks 31st in the NWCS.

GEOFFREY BODINE (No. 60 Power Team Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Bodine will drive the same Monte Carlo that finished 12th in the Brickyard 400. Bodine finished 38th earlier this season at Michigan.

KERRY EARNHARDT (No. 71 Realtree Chevrolet Monte Carlo) Earnhardt will attempt to make his first NASCAR Winston Cup start on Sunday. He’ll drive the same Monte Carlo that he’s driven four times this season with finishes of first, second, second and third. Earnhardt finished third with it in an ARCA race earlier this season at Michigan. The 30-year-old son of Dale Earnhardt tested the car in Winston Cup trim earlier this season at Michigan and posted speeds that would have put him among top 10 qualifiers for the first Cup race here this season.
