BROOKLYN, Mich. (August 21, 2000) - Elliott Sadler and the No. 21 CITGO Ford have been forced to endure several weeks of bad luck. Sadler's CITGO Ford slammed into the outside wall just 64 laps into Sunday's race at Michigan International Speedway, resulting in a 40th place finish.

QUOTING ELLIOTT: "I think we cut down a right front tire and we finally blew it going into turn one. We were struggling to get the race setup the way we wanted in the beginning and made a bunch of changes during our pit stops. We were finally handling the way I wanted and we were catching everybody and running just as fast as the leaders. We definitely had the CITGO Ford fixed, but it just wasn't meant to be this year at Michigan. We've had some tough luck up here and we'll try to turn our luck around at Bristol."

Elliott Sadler and the CITGO Ford next head to Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The Goracing.com 500 will be televised live nationally by ESPN and broadcast on live radio by the Performance Racing Network. The start of Saturday's race is slated for 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
