JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 8th
Are you happy with your qualifying run? "At one point we had the car driving, we focused the whole practice just on qualifying trim this weekend. The last three four weeks we haven't qualified nowhere near where we needed to be and said screw race trims for today and go completely focus on qualifying trim. It definitely helped, going out there with it. It went back and forth and the track has changed so much throughout the practice it was keeping up with the track, know where it's going to go. Know what parts you need to make it work a little bit better. A lot of it was just a guessing game with what the track was going to do. You can get it pretty close in practice but it's quite a bit different than what practice had and I think this place is so sensitive to heat. If you look at practice, we went out there with a green race track and it was cool and put out a pretty stout lap and then as we kept going we were slowing down about a half a second. It's just tough, you have a cloud cover it's going to have a lot. We didn't get lucky enough for that. Overall, we still have a good race car so that's what I'm excited about."
Does going to a track for a second time help? "I think so, I think it definitely helps. If you look at where we were at the beginning of the year when we raced here and this second race, it's night and day. This is one of those places, the tracks you go to and it's only one different line and you need to know where you need to be and what you need, kind of like Pocono."
Are you pleased with your qualifying run? "I knew we were going to be good, we have had a good car all weekend so far. I just wanted to get us into the show, nice and easy. They made really good changes before qualifying to make the thing even better - it drove itself."

Starting Position: 16th
How's your car in Michigan? "It's a little bit of a struggle. We don't have the speed that I was hoping for but we qualified better than what we practiced so it's an improvement. We just have to keep getting it better tomorrow."
Do you plan on racing more Nationwide races this year? "I don't know I'm going to kind of see how this goes and then kind of go from there. It's been really fun working with (CJM Racing) especially today when things don't go good on the Cup side it's actually more uplifting and go over there and run well and come back here, it gives me more confidence. Sometimes if you're running well over here (Cup), have a bad day over there (Nationwide) it kind of hurts over here. Today it kind of worked flip-flopped and now it kind of makes me want to reconsider a little bit maybe running a few more races."
