Johnny Sauter Fueled Up and Ready to Race for EM Motorsports
MARTIN, G.A. (August 12, 2008) -- Johnny Sauter will attempt to qualify the No. 08 FUBAR Dodge for this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup event at Michigan International Speedway. EM Motorsports owner John Carter announced Sauter will pilot the team's racecar for a short list of events in 2008. Sauter hopes to give the team their first Cup start this season by qualifying for Sunday's 3-M Performance 400.
"I'm going to Michigan focused on getting the FUBAR car into the race," Sauter said. "It would mean a lot to John Carter and everyone at EM Motorsports to be part of Sunday's race and I'm going to give it all I've got in qualifying to make it happen for them. I'm just thankful for the opportunity to be part of this organization and hope I can make them proud this weekend."
Sauter became a fan of Michigan International Speedway during his first visit to the track in 2002. Since then, Sauter has completed five starts in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition, with a best finish of tenth place. Sauter also has two previous NASCAR Sprint Cup starts at the track to help prepare him for succes s during this weekend's 200-lap event. Sauter finished 26th and 29th in last year's June and August Sprint Cup races, respectively.
EM Motorsports and driver Johnny Sauter will represent the team's sponsor FUBAR while on track at Michigan. "It's awesome to have FUBAR on board our Dodge this weekend," Sauter said. "I'm a huge fan of the products, especially the Chocolate Coconut bar. There's nothing I would like more than to put this car in the show and run up front on Sunday."
