TODD KLUEVER -- No. 06 3M Ford Fusion (finished 43rd)
"That's just racing, I guess. I was just trying to stay out of the way there. I was trying to backpedal and I think Bobby just got loose."
AS A YOUNG DRIVER, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE LAPS AND GET PLENTY OF SEAT TIME. WHAT KIND OF A SETBACK IS IT TO GO OUT THIS EARLY? "This is all part of it. We'll be alright, we'll come back. We had a lot better car than we did at Chicago. Frankie and Jimmy have done a real good job with it. We were going to have a real good job to learn, and unfortunately we don't."
WHAT HAPPENED? "We were three-wide there and I think Bobby just got loose under us. I was trying to get out of the way. The last thing I wanted to do was not make any friends today. It is what it is. It's just unfortunate. My guys worked so hard after crashing our primary car in practice, changed motors and worked so hard to get this car in the show and then we get taken out early."
DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Dark Ford Fusion (finished 38th)
"Just blew a right-front tire there. We kind of fought loose all day and Todd (Parrott, crew chief) was just making some adjustments as we went, and the M&M's Ford Fusion was getting better, but it was just still too free. And then we must've run something over and blew a right-front and tore the right side up. So, a disappointing start, but it will get better."
WILL YOU BE ABLE TO GET BACK ON THE TRACK TODAY? "Yeah, I think we will be able to. I haven't really looked too much over there, but hopefully we'll be able to get it back out. It's just a shame that happened. We were just kind of back there, just taking our time, trying to get it right, we were just way too loose. It's a disappointing end, but we'll hopefully we'll get it back out there and some more laps, some more experience."
MARK MARTIN -- No. 6 AAA Ford Fusion (finished 5th)
"This is a good run for us. Had a very strong car at the end that took us all day to get running. I'm proud of the AAA team. We were pretty strong at the end." WHAT DOES TODAY'S FINISH MEAN FOR YOU IN TERMS OF THE CHASE? "That was one more off the list. If we can get through Bristol without wrecking, it'll look pretty good."
IS MICHIGAN A TRACK YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE? "I love this place. And we had a good car today. It was a good time. I appreciate my boys."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 National Guard/Subway Ford Fusion (finished 7th)
"Pretty good day after what we've been through the last few weeks, but not what we wanted. We felt like we had a better car than that. I tried to running up on the top where the 8 and all them guys were running and it got real slick up there, and kind of got in the wall a little bit -- it didn't hurt nothing, really, but just not where I wanted to be."
ON THE CHASE... "This kind of seals our fate out of the Chase right here. We needed a win here today or finish in the top three plus we needed somebody that was close to us have trouble. Granted, the 31 and the 5 had trouble, but they're so far up in the points, really, that it doesn't do us any good. We'd have to have another four races like that."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (finished 22nd)
"I did adjust it on the wall -- but it tightened it up a little too much. I just made a misjudgment there. We had a great car all day, Office Depot, and all of guys did a great job. I had fun, right up until that. We'll just go on, keep our heads up, the worse thing we can do right now is get down, but it's just another one of those days. My guys did great. Everyone did a great job."
