Steve Grissom Update Steve Grissoms injury was in fact to his ankle. The injury was not severe enough to cause him not to drive.

Craven to run Martinsville The Budweiser team along with Craven, has decided to run the full race at Martinsville. The team has taken steps to make the race car more comfortable to Craven and they feel like he is able to run the entire race. There are no drivers standing in relief as of yesterday afternoon. Apparently Wally Dallenbach has been told that he will not be needed in backup.

Bruton Smith and Rockingham Bruton Smith is still attempting to buy the majority interest in Rockingham. Reports yesterday afternoon say that Smith has made a counter offer that was larger than Penske. Looks like the "done deal" may not be so done after all. In a release after the markets closed, the company chaired by Bruton Smith said its offer, which is now $71.6 million in cash, was 39 percent more than its original bid of $23 a share in cash and at least 72 percent more than the latest offer by Penske.

Greg Sacks injured In a test session earlier in the week at Greensville, SC Greg Sacks sustained a broken left foot. He will be replaced by Larry Pearson in the BGN car and Lance Hooper in the WC car.
