Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion, held a Q&A session behind his hauler after NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and talked about returning to Martinsville.

ARE YOU A FAN OF MARTINSVILLE? "It's not my favorite. I was excited to get to the track this weekend after the off weekend, but it's probably my weakest place and probably the place I struggle the most at, so I can't really honestly say I really ever look forward to coming here. I usually look forward to driving home Sunday afterwards and having it out of the way."

WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SO TOUGH? "I think everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses and obviously this place isn't that tough to some people like Gordon and Jimmie and some of those guys that run so good here all the time, but for me it's always been a challenge. It's just so slow and so tight and there's not much room out there. You've got to have everything just right to be able to get around here fast."

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHERE YOU ARE NOW WITH THE CAR? "I think there have been weeks where we've been really competitive, where I think we had stuff good enough to win. Obviously, Carl was probably good enough to win the first three or four races at least, so I think overall our stuff is pretty competitive compared to everybody, so we've got to keep working on it."
