TRAVIS GEISLER, (crew chief, No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 24th
"Our qualifying run was a little disappointing from where we were in practice. The track seemed like it lost a little bit of grip. Sam (Hornish) said the car just got too much on the edge with our entry being a little too free and our middle being a little too tight. When the track lost grip we just got worse and lost a little bit to the field; still not a bad effort for the Mobil 1 Dodge. This will be our best start for Martinsville in the last five races that we've run here and hopefully we can build on that from here."
BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger) Qualified 25th
"We unloaded just fair. We struggled from there in practice. I felt the qualifying run in our Penske Dodge was good until (Turns) 3 and 4 on the second lap when I just kind of lost it. We've got room to improve. This was one of our better races in the spring and we were better in race trim than we were in qualifying, so maybe that's a good sign."
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Operation Home Front/Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 29th
"I just couldn't get the car to stick to the bottom on exit. The Miller Lite Dodge just kept shoving up the race track. A .74 wasn't what we were hoping for in qualifying. We'll see where that puts us."
