Matt Kenseth's thoughts on Martinsville:

"We are taking car number 1 to Martinsville. We bought the car from Jeff Burton's team when we did the five race Winston Cup Series deal in 1999. It's also the same car we ran last fall. Martinsville is flat and slow so I'll be using a ton of brakes. The car has to turn good in the center and has to get good traction off the corners. If the car is good in those areas we'll have a decent finish."

Crew Chief Robbie Reiser's thoughts on Martinsville:

"We have to focus on qualifying. Last year we qualified poorly, and
even though we ran pretty well despite some wrecks, track position is
almost everything."

Spotter Mike Calinoff's thoughts on Martinsville:

"I'm really hoping for a good qualifying effort by this DEWALT team at
Martinsville. Not just because this team can use one, but also because
the spotters are assigned their positions on the roof according to the
qualifying order. The spotter stand at Martinsville is small and sits
next to the scoring booth. If a team qualifies anywhere outside of the
top ten, the spotter is forced to view turn four through two panes of
tinted glass. That can be pretty tough."

Qualifying is set for the Winston Cup Series on Friday, April 6th at 3:00 p.m. EST. The green flag will wave at 1:00 p.m. EST Sunday, April 8th to start the Virginia 500. FOX and MRN Radio will broadcast the event live as it happens.
