"M&M's"® Racing Team Bristol Motor Speedway Highlights... * The No. 36 "M&M's"® Pontiac will be driven by Jerry Nadeau this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Regular driver Ernie Irvan, released from a Michigan hospital on Monday afternoon, continues to recuperate at his North Carolina home. "We feel fortunate that a driver of Jerry's caliber was available in Ernie's absence," said Jay Frye, General Manager of MB2 Motorsports. "We look forward to working with him and our plan is for Jerry to be in the car until Ernie is ready to return." * The "M&M's"® Racing Team has a total of five starts at Bristol Motor Speedway. Their best starting position at the track was a ninth place effort in the fall of 1997. * The "M&M's"® Racing Team got bit by the 'Bristol bug' earlier in the year. At the spring race on the series' toughest track, the No. 36 Pontiac made only 10 laps before getting caught up in an early accident that caused significant sheet metal damage and radiator problems.

Jerry Nadeau's thoughts on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway... "My main goal for Bristol is to get the "M&M's"® Pontiac in the field during first-round qualifying and keep the team going in the right direction with a good run. Then when Ernie is better, he can just get back in his car and pick up where he left off. The team has good race cars, and I'm looking forward to going back to Bristol. I actually enjoy racing there a lot. It's a fast mixing bowl, but I'm hoping not to get mixed up in anything this weekend."
