Handling Issues Cost Riggs at NHMS

LOUDON, N.H -- Scott Riggs, driving the No. 66 State Water Heaters Chevrolet Impala, finished 34th in Sunday's Lenox 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Having to qualify for the race on time, Riggs was able to post the fourth fastest lap and started the race from the second row.

An ill handling car caused Riggs to quickly loose track position and he ended the rain shortened race three laps down.

"It was a tough race for us," Riggs said. "It's a shame that we couldn't back up our qualifying run with a solid race, but the car's handling was just off. I had to hold so much wheel through the corner that when I got back on the gas the rear end kept wanting to snap around. It's hard to hold track position when you're consistently getting beat through the turns like that."

Riggs and company will next head to Daytona International Speedway for Saturday night's Coke Zero 400. The No. 66 Chevy will carry the Hunt Brothers Pizza colors for the first time this season.
