CHARLOTTE, NC (September 11, 2008) - Robby Gordon's Jim Beam Dodge will once again carry the red, white, and blue Operation Homefront paint scheme this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Earlier this year, Jim Beam formed an association with the organization when they recognized that Operation Homefront had the same commitment and values as the Jim Beam brand - true character, integrity and doing the right thing.
Operation Homefront - Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind during deployments and wounded warriors when they return home. Operation Homefront has 30 chapters serving 37 states and came to the rescue of 33,000 military families last year. They have approximately 4,500 volunteers nationwide. Remarks on Loudon - "We are bringing the same car we raced last weekend at Richmond," said Gordon. "The guys at the shop worked really hard this week to turn the car around, and I am confident we will have a good weekend and turn things around. With this week being the seven year anniversary of September 11th, it's great to have Operation Homefront on the car to increase awareness for such a great organization."
Magic Mile - This weekend marks Gordon's 18th start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Gordon earned his first NASCAR Cup victory on the 1.058-mile oval in November 2001; he also has two top-five and three top-ten finishes at the Magic Mile.
Appearances - Gordon will make an appearance at The Draft on Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Draft is located at 67 South Main St., Concord, NH. Gordon will be at his souvenir trailer on Sunday signing autographs for his fans at 10:15 a.m.
