MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (Finished 7th)
"I wish we would have finished a little better, but we ran a lot better today so I'm pretty happy with that. We need to run better than that, obviously, to contend for a championship but we ran pretty good. Our speed was pretty good, it's just that these cars compared to the old conventional cars are just so much harder to pass. You can run a tenth or two better than the guy in front of you, but you can't really go anywhere and then once you get to him, it's just so hard to pass with them. We couldn't make up any ground."
ANY SURPRISE THE TOP SEVEN FINISHERS WERE CHASE GUYS? "No, they're the top 12 in points and probably got there for running good, so that doesn't surprise me."
HOW DOES THIS RACE AFFECT NEXT WEEK? "We can all strategize it to death, but the winner got the most points today. The guy who ran second got the second-most and so on and so forth. We go out every week and we try to win and try to run as far up toward the front as we can and finish as high as we can every day and not worry about the points. I couldn't have finished one spot higher no matter what we did. We did the best we could today and that's all we can do every week."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Finished 12th)
"With a back-up car that's pretty good. Overall, it's not the kind of weekend we wanted. We need to run better than that, but it's nobody's fault but my own for wrecking the primary. I'm just really proud of my guys for being able to come back and run that well with no laps on the race car. That says a lot about our team."
HOW LONG WAS IT BEFORE YOU KNEW THE CAR WAS GOING TO BE OK? "I knew when they dropped the green and we were running good laps that we would be a top-10 car. I thought we would be better than we were after they dropped the green, but it will be good and we'll be all right. If this is as bad as it gets, we're gonna be great. It's about making the most of a day when it's not the greatest."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Lumber Liquidators Ford Fusion (Finished 13th)
"We were trying to get a good finish for Lumber Liquidators and this was probably our third or fourth-best run of the year, so we're pretty happy with that."
IT SEEMED ONCE THINGS SETTLED DOWN THAT PASSING WAS TOUGH. WHAT WAS IT LIKE FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW? "You can't pass anybody because everybody is the same speed. Everybody is the same, but that's what NASCAR wants is for everybody to be the same. It's so hard to fight for track position out there that it's tough to gain spots."
JAMIE MCMURRAY -- No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Finished 11th)
"I thought we had a better car than that in practice. I was pretty excited about our car. The race started and I passed a few cars there at the beginning and it seemed like after about the third stop everybody just kind of followed each other. It certainly wasn't very good racing today."
SO IT'S HARDER TO PASS IN THESE COT CARS? "I chased the 18 and Greg (Biffle) chased me for about 150 laps and we were all about 10 feet away from each other. I couldn't get away from Greg and I couldn't catch the 18, so I don't know. They certainly don't seem to be as raceable as the other cars."
