SADLER LOOKS FOR SEASON FIRST WIN AT NHIS
CHARLOTTE, NC (September 13, 2005) -- For the next ten races, Elliott Sadler and the M&M'S Team have only one goal in mind, to win races. With all the attention now focused on the ten Chase contenders, the pressure is off the #38 Team as they look to score their first win of 2005.
As the circuit makes the trip to the final ten tracks of the season, seven are return visits. Out of those seven tracks, Sadler posted top-10 finishes at four accounting for nearly half of his nine top-10 runs this year. Sadler and company hope to recapture the magic from the first part of the season as they return this weekend to New Hampshire International Speedway for the Sylvania 300.
Quoting M&M'S® Driver Elliott Sadler:
On this weekend's race at NHIS--
"Saturday night was disappointing for this team, not making the Chase but I think the past couple of months have been just as disappointing for us. We started out the season so strong, ran consistently for the first half of the season. That's what we want to do these last ten races is just get back to where we were running. We know the world hasn't come to an end because we're not in the top-10. Our season is not over just because we're not in it. We've got to go out and win a couple of races for this team, our owners and our sponsors."
"I'm really looking forward to the next couple of races. You know the pressure is off. We're going back to tracks where we really ran well. Starting with New Hampshire, we started the race in the top-five and had a really good car before our day ended in a wreck. Next we go to Dover where we led a lot of laps and then to Talladega where we finished top-10. I think the next couple of races are exciting for this team. We just want to get back to running up front and hopefully find our way to victory lane a couple of times before Homestead.
