Are you looking forward to returning to NHIS?
"This is one my favorite tracks because it really suits my driving style. I almost won a Busch race up there once. We didn't have a good run there earlier this year because the track was coming up real bad. Once you got out of the groove it became real difficult to drive. Everybody was complaining about it. I think the track surface played a major role in how we ran in July because it wasn't that bad in practice. If they get the track back the way it used to be, I would expect that we would have a good run in the Sirius Dodge."
How do you think the Sirius Dodge will be this weekend?
"We're taking the same car we ran there in July. It's a new car that Tony (Furr) built for that race; unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see how it performed. We should be pretty good this time around, though. We've had a couple of really good runs here lately, but just haven't had the finishes to prove it. This team's got a lot of momentum going and our confidence is up. We're due for a good finish, and I'm confident we can pull it off in New Hampshire this week."
What's the key to getting around at New Hampshire?
"It's hard to pass at New Hampshire, but if you can get your car to turn good in the center and come off good, you can pass. You've got to have your car dialed in. Qualifying will be important, as always. Track position is really, really important at New Hampshire because it's so hard to pass."
