JEFF GREEN (No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 15th

"We got it a little too tight. The car really drove better in race mode than qualifying mode, so I'm pretty excited about the race. I'm proud of the team. They've worked their tails off and it's paying off right now."

RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 4th

"Obviously the conditions were better at the start of qualifying, but it was a good lap for us. I wish we could have backed up practice, but we fell short by a good bit. I think the track changed quite a bit, but we've got a good race car. I'm not happy with it. We should have been able to back up practice and we didn't, so we'll have to figure out why. I got fumes pretty good last week because we knocked the crush panels in, but that was all right. This is a track position racetrack. It's a lot like the road courses. Track position is very important here. We'll do our best. We'll see if we can lead some laps and get some bonus points and have a good day Sunday."

TRAVIS KVAPIL (No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 30th

"We're not real happy with that. We were faster yesterday, but we slowed down a little bit. I feel like the improvements we made on the car will help us a little bit tomorrow. It's going to be all about track position tomorrow. We've got to find a way to get in the top 20 or top 15 and go from there, but there just wasn't any grip for me out there today. We got a cloud and that should have helped us, but we just didn't have any grip."

JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 11th

"I'm real happy with that. With the sun out and going as late as we did to run a .42, I'm real happy with that. It could have gone the wrong way and we could have been starting way back. I think we'll have a good car in the race, and it's really a bonus to start as close as you can to the front here because it's going to be hard to pass."

RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 6th

"I was a little loose, but it was a pretty good lap. I thought I could run a .40 and ended up running a .35, so that was a real good lap. I wish I could have been a little better, but that's OK. This track is hard to get around. I really like this area, but I'm not a big fan of the track. I like the people here and how high their enthusiasm always seems to be. It's a hard track to get around and pass on. I don't think it hurt us going out early. I think it'll get hotter and hotter and that should work in our favor. I'm real confident about the race. We've had some good runs here and hopefully we'll have another good one Sunday and maybe we can gain some more ground in the standings. It's fun to keep gaining spots every week. Hopefully that's a trend we can continue."

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 29th

"We worked mostly on race setup in practice and we didn't qualify that well, but I think we'll be good in the race. It all depends on the weather and if we can keep up with the track, but I feel pretty good about it."

JAMIE McMURRAY (No. Texaco/Havoline Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 17th

"That wasn't very good. It just wasn't very good."

CASEY MEARS (No. 41 Target Dodge Charger) -- Qualified 26th

"This track is tight in the corners, and it's hard to get the car to turn. You need as much bite as you can get. We didn't get in a very good lap. I think we'll probably end up with a bad starting spot, but we'll get it dialed in and I think we'll have a good race."
