WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - May 30, 2002 - Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Driver John Andretti and Weis Markets President Norman Rich announced today that the No. 43 will carry the Weis Markets logo for the Pennsylvania 500 NASCAR Winston Cup race scheduled for July 28, 2002, at Pocono Raceway. To celebrate the partnership, Andretti joined Rich in unveiling the new No. 43. In addition, the Cheerios/Betty Crocker/Weis Markets No. 43 will appear at Weis Markets throughout Pennsylvania to generate excitement for the race.

"It will really mean a lot to me to have a Pennsylvania company like Weis Markets on the No. 43 when we come back here in July," said Andretti, who is a native of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. "It should be a really exciting race and we hope to put Weis Markets and the No. 43 in victory lane."
Founded in 1912, Weis Markets is marking its 90th year in operation this month.
