PMG hires Ron Lemasters Jr. as new GM Racing NASCAR Manufacturer's rep
Indianapolis, May 21, 2003 - Performance Marketing Group Inc. (PMG), a Carmel, Ind.-based sports marketing and public relations firm, has announced the hiring of Ron Lemasters Jr. as its new NASCAR Manufacturer's representative for GM Racing in charge of public relations and media relations.
He will be responsible for day-to-day relationships with motorsports media, GM Racing teams, drivers and crew chiefs, as well as expanding coverage of GM Racing efforts with non-traditional media.
Lemasters is a 20-plus-year veteran of motorsports journalism, having worked for National Speed Sport News (associate editor in charge of day-to-day operations), The Nashville Network (associate editor for www.country.com Motorsports) and Circle Track Magazine (editor) in his career.
He began his career at the age of 16 as a sportswriter in Muncie, Ind. and has been involved in motorsports exclusively since 1988. Lemasters comes to PMG after serving as Director of Public Relations/Media at the American Speed Association (ASA). He has a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ball State University.

"He has been on the receiving end of much of GM Racing's public relations efforts and is attuned to what the members of the media need and want from a public relations representative. His extensive experience and skills in writing and public relations will continue the professional coverage of GM's racing efforts in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series."
Lemasters will begin his new position with this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Winston Cup race at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
