Motorsport.com art director Eric Gilbert presents the photos that he actually uses as screen savers (and that he actually shot, also).

Once in a while, I do this little piece called "Latest picture on my screen saver" on my personal facebook page. I thought you might enjoy these. This is part 1, and will post more of these in the future on Motorsport.com.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Bud Shootout at Daytona, 2012-02-18: Not pretty, but oh so spectacular.

I'm usually not too crazy about including crash shots in my "Latest picture on my screen saver" piece. But with all those crash-oriented races that took place this year at the Daytona Speedweeks, I figured that at least one would work and be appropriate, especially considering the fact that no one got hurt (almost a miracle…).

This one of Jeff Gordon sliding upside down had to be the one, as his quadruple somersaults figure was not only spectacular (and 'well lit'…) but also the first time the four-time Sprint Cup Series champion ever flipped a race car. Also note the random race fan on the left hand side, going hysterical - typical of any crash shot, looking at people's reactions in the background is always quite entertaining as well…
