WHAT PUT YOU OUT? "Some kind of water leak. I don't know what caused it. A water pump or something. We lost all the water and melted it down. It had been having a problem from the get-go."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Fusion
"It just didn't go as well as we planned. We kind of had the wrong springs in, I think, and struggled all day. But, we'll go on to Atlanta and have a good day."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 National Guard Fusion
"We needed this for the points. Not eighth is where we targeted it coming out here, top five, only three spots short."
WHAT ABOUT YOUR CAR TODAY? SOME WERE LOOSE SOME WERE TIGHT. WHAT WAS YOURS? "Both. My car would be a little bit free in, then push in the middle and then it would either push off or I couldn't get the gas in because it was too loose, and then just terrible behind other cars. Once I lost my track position, once we had a pit stop, the rest of my day was over. When I stayed up front in the top four, I figured I could stay there, but once I lost my track position, I knew I'd never get back."
THE 5 AND THE 20 HAD A BATTLE TOWARD THE FRONT. DID YOU SEE ANY OF IT? "I really didn't. I didn't see what happened there. I know the 24 came down and kind of gave me a door slam down the backstretch. I'm not sure what that was about. I used to have quite a bit of respect for him. I'm not sure if I've got as much anymore. I don't know what that was about. Everybody's digging for every spot they can out there, you know, and I was on the bottom and he slid up and I went by and left him plenty of room -- in fact, probably too much room -- so he decided to give me a little shot in the door. But that's okay. He's just taking his frustration out for not being up there more, I guess."
WHAT ABOUT YOUR DAY IN GENERAL? "We got the side of the car smashed in by the 24. We never pulled it back out. It's about all there is to it, I guess."
DALE JARRETT -- No. 88 UPS Fusion
ON FINISHING IN THE TOP 20. "We ran right around there all day. It's what we've done for the last, well, all this year and about the last six months of last year, so we've got to find something. We're getting our tails kicked and you can't continue to do that."
ELLIOTT SADLER -- No. 38 M&M's Fusion
"We just made a call to get tires at the end. We were a 23rd- or 24th-place car, and, I don't know, I think some of the guys got caught up up there on the restart, got to spinning their tires or something like that, and some of us on new tires got to come through, and I just went through on the inside. I followed Robby Gordon up through there. We didn't run like we think the M&M's Ford team should run. But, you know what? We're finishing laps, we're seeing the checkered flags, and until we can get this thing fixed and turn around where we can run in the top 10, we're doing the right thing by finishing."
THE OTHER DAY YOU TALKED ABOUT MOMENTUM. DOES A RACE LIKE THIS KEEP MOVING THE TEAM FORWARD? "I don't know. We'll look at the points and see what's going on. We're not running good, so we're not happy, we're not celebrating, but it could have been a lot worse. If we can just get through these races clean until we can get these things fixed. That's what we've got to keep on doing; keep our nose down and keep hustling."
