BRISTOL, Tenn. – Tony Gibson left Bristol Motor Speedway early on Sunday.

Gibson, who is the crew chief for Kurt Busch, was sidelined with kidney stones which have plagued him in the past.

John Klausmeier, the lead engineer for the No. 41 Haas Automation Chevy, took over the crew chief duties with Stewart Haas Racing competition director – and two-time championship crew chief – Greg Zipadelli.

Busch has five wins at Thunder Valley. He took the lead on Lap 70 and remained at the point until he was passed by his teammate Kevin Harvick on Lap 125.

Also, Denny Hamlin gave up the wheel of his No. 11 to Erik Jones due to neck spasms, a story you can read HERE.
