In the top level of NASCAR, who among the stars is the most talented wheel-man? Six-time series champion Jimmie Johnson? Icon Jeff Gordon? SHR co-owner Tony Stewart? Well, according to Brad Keselowski, the most talented driver in NASCAR is one yet to even earn the title of 'champion.'

"I feel like I'm a top three driver," said Keselowski. "From watching and I'm not afraid to say it, I feel that personally Carl Edwards is the best driver in Sprint Cup. That's my personal opinion, doesn't make it law or fact. I think, to go with that, you can make an argument for Kevin Harvick being second-best, but again, it's a bit subjective."

The reasoning?

"I've seen what Carl's done in cars that didn't have the speed. He has a very diverse skill set, winning at every type of track. He does the best job of any driver out there taking a car that's not fast and finding speed out of it. And when the time has come when he has the dominant car, he showed dominate performances. He's shown to me the skill set at every level to be a top driver."

Now Brad and Carl have quite an ugly history on the race track, especially between 2009 and 2010 when their rivalry overflowed into horrifying accidents on more than one occasion. Since then, things have simmered down, but still, Keselowski's declaration is a bit surprising.

That being said, he feels that the No. 19 could be the team to beat in 2015. "There's something about those new teams ... Magic comes together." Ironically enough, I wrote an article echoing the sentimants of Keselowski a few months back, which can be read HERE.
