Sadler on the rebound, sets his sights on Kansas
"There is no doubt last week was scary for everyone. It looked worse than it turned out to be, but the guys at Robert Yates Racing built me a car that withstood a wreck at 186mph -there aren't words for how grateful I am. Unfortunately, we had the car to beat and it was just one of those restrictor plate racing deals." --.Elliott Sadler on the crash at Talladega
ELLIOTT SADLER'S VIEW FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT:
"Despite of being a little sore this week, we tested at Kentucky on Tuesday because we want to make sure this M&M'S team has our ducks in a row for the remaining races on the schedule. We had some great success earlier this year at the mile and a half tracks and want to make sure we run well at Kansas City, Charlotte and Atlanta. Since Todd has joined the team, we haven't raced on a mile and a half track so this gives us a chance to work together before it really counts. Hopefully we will have another shot at a pole this weekend and more importantly a win."
CREW CHIEF TODD PARROTT'S VIEW FROM THE PIT BOX:
"We are going to have an awesome car this weekend Kansas. As Elliott said we haven't run the mile and a half tracks together yet and I am looking forward to it. Although things like last weekend happen in this sport, it is always good to have momentum and know that you have a car capable of winning week in and week out."
SPOTTER BRETT GRIFFIN'S VIEW FROM THE TOP OF KANSAS SPEEDWAY:
"Spotters don't drive the racecars - we just give the drivers information about the cars around them, which lines are running faster and where there are wrecks are. It's pretty nerve wracking for everyone but there is a trust factor there between the driver and spotter. Elliott had an awesome car that could pull out in of the draft and away from everyone. It's just those last ten laps that get pretty crazy."
