JAMIE McMURRAY (No. 42 Havoline Dodge Intrepid) - Eighth
"It was a good day. We never really had our car balanced right. We made some pretty good adjustments to it and got a top-10. I got into the No. 24 car with about five laps to go and knocked the fenders into the tire. Fenders are really important here. Our car got pretty tight. We had a good battle with Jimmie (Johnson), Kevin (Harvick) and Jeff (Gordon) right there at the end. It wasn't a bad day for us, but it wasn't great either."
"We battled with Jimmie back and forth. That's fun. Generally you don't get to do that very often. So, that made it interesting at the very end of the race. That was a good time. Even though we didn't finish great today, I had a good time racing. This team has been really good lately. We've been a top-10 car in just about every race. I had a top-five car today, I felt like. We just didn't do it at the end. The caution flags keep biting us at the end of the race. It happened at Indy, Fontana, and it happened here again. I don't know, we're pretty happy with today."
RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Intrepid) - Ninth NOTE: Bill Elliott and Rusty Wallace are tied for 13th in the standings. Wallace's ninth-place finish today was his fourth straight top-10.
"Well, we led a lot and had a good car all day. Then I got tight at one point. Then we had a bunch of that stupid, 'Stay out, don't pit, fuel mileage crap,' happen again. It bit me again. It didn't really bite me, I just got too tight at the end there. I got myself into a situation where I just had old tires and no track position, and it just killed me."
CASEY MEARS (No. 41 Target Dodge Intrepid) -- 24th
"We were loose most of the race. We made some adjustments but we just couldn't get it. The crew guys worked hard today, and we'll just have to get it next week at Charlotte."
