Jeff Green On Michigan: Jeff Green, current points leader and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé NesQuik Chevrolet on the NASCAR Busch Series, hasn't had a lot of success at the 2-mile speedway, but feels he has a strong program for this year's event.

"The team that has the best handling car should wind up in victory lane on Saturday," said Green. "Handling and horsepower is important at Michigan, but if your car doesn't handle properly, then you can't use all the horsepower. And you can never ignore fuel mileage. One way or the other, it always seems to play a huge role in the race outcome."

Last Year At Michigan: Green started 10th and finished 16th in last year's event.

"We had handling problems all day last year," said crew chief, Harold Holly. "It was the first race run with the new generation Goodyear tire and everything we learned at our test, we had to throw out the window, so we never could dial in the setup. Now that we've got experience on this tire, we should be really good."

Return of the Winston Cup Drivers: While some NBS teams may cringe at the thought of returning to companion races with the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, Green welcomes the challenge.

"I can't wait to get back to racing with the Winston Cup guys," said Green. "Our NesQuik Racing team has gotten even better since we left them early in June and we did beat them once already this year at Richmond. I'm looking forward to seeing how we stack up against them again and beating them like we have everyone else this summer."

Car Owner Home: Greg Pollex, car owner for the No. 10 NesQuik Chevrolet, resides in Howell, Michigan which is located one hour west of Michigan Speedway. Pollex's business, Structured Financial Associates, is based out of Southfield, Michigan. Pollex has invited approximately 60 guests to the track for Saturday's race.

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking a brand new car to Michigan this weekend. The car was tested at Michigan Speedway on July 5-6, 2000, but those were the only laps the car has ever run on a track.

"We had a great test at Michigan last month," said Green. "We posted really fast lap times and I feel really confident about our chances this weekend." <pre> Jeff Green / Michigan Speedway Statistics:
