James Buescher Set to Drive No. 1 Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Chevrolet for Phoenix Racing in Two of the Final Three NASCAR Nationwide Series Events; The 19-Year-Old to Participate in the Nationwide COT Test at Talladega on Monday
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 29, 2009) -- NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competitor James Buescher and Phoenix Racing are pleased to announce the 19-year-old Texas native will pilot the No. 1 Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Chevrolet in the next two NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) races, to be held at Texas Motor Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway. In addition, Buescher will participate in the NNS Car of Tomorrow (COT) test session at Talladega Superspeedway this Monday, November 2nd, driving the new Chevrolet Impala for team owner James Finch.
"First, I want to thank James Finch (owner) and Marc Reno (crew chief) for the opportunity to drive the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Chevrolet," said Buescher. "Mr. Finch has put together a top-notch program and it's a pleasure to be able to compete in his equipment. This season, Phoenix Racing has shown that they can run up-front and be in contention for the win each and every week. I'm definitely looking forward to making the most of the chance that I have been given to run these two races. Also, after the Truck Series race this Saturday at Talladega, I will get the opportunity to test the new Nationwide COT Chevrolet Impala. The car looks awesome and I'm excited to get behind the wheel and see what it feels like."
In six previous NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, Buescher has claimed one pole position and a career-best finish of seventh. The 33rd race of the 2009 NNS season will be held at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 7th.
