NASCAR postpones Sprint Cup race until 1p.m. Sunday.
RICHMOND, Va. -- Saturday's running of the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway has been postponed until 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The race is still scheduled to run on FOX.
Joey Logano will lead the field of 43 Sprint Cup drivers to the green flag. The Team Penske racer is the defending winner of the event. Virginia native Denny Hamlin will share the front row with Logano. Hamlin, won the NASCAR XFINITY Series race from the pole on Friday night.
NASCAR announced during the drivers meeting on Saturday that a competition caution is scheduled for Lap 50.
The last time Mother Nature's wrath cancelled a Sprint Cup race was last July at Daytona International Speedway. Aric Almirola won the next day.
