KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 8th

"I felt that the track was a little slicker and I just drove the Budweiser Dodge too hard to get a good lap. If I would have slowed down, I probably could have picked up a few more hundredths. I'm happy with the car. We need to have a good practice this afternoon. That's what it's all about to get ready for tomorrow."

REED SORENSON (No. 43 Valvoline Dodge Charger) Qualified 9th

"Our Valvoline Dodge was pretty good. On the very last qualifying run that we did yesterday, we weren't where we wanted to be and put the tune-up back to where it was earlier. I lost a little bit of time in Turn 2. The car was really good in Turns 3 and 4 and made some time back up. I'm proud of all the Valvoline guys. I think that it's good to start up front here. I'm not sure where it's going to end up, but it just makes for a lot easier day knowing that you just have to work on your car for the cleaner air."

SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 15th

"Not as good a lap as it could have been. I got a little bit free getting into Turn 1 and kind of chickened out the other three corners. I definitely felt like we left something out on the track. We ran a 50.16 and thought that if we wanted to be in the top 15, we would have to be in the 49s. I still think that we'll be better off (starting position) than if qualifying would have been rained out. I'm just looking forward to getting out there and running some more laps this afternoon.

"To be the first car out on a green track with all the jet dryers and stuff going on (drying the racing surface), we knew it was going to be slick. If we had been able to qualify this morning, P1 (position one) would have obviously been the best place that we could have been. We got the draw that we wanted, but not at the time we wanted to go out."

How much emphasis does Penske Racing put on building a specific car for Indy? "Our seasons are so long, it's pretty hard to put the same emphasis on this race that the IndyCar team is able to because of the short season and being here three weeks straight that there's so much emphasis put on it. We all know that Roger (Penske) wants to win here. We all want to give Roger his first (NASCAR) win here. We brought what we believed is our best race car here. It is a car that we ran earlier in the year at California and a couple other places. We're just looking forward to getting out there and racing."

DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger) Qualified 21st

"The track seemed about the same as yesterday. Not really having a lot of time in this car, I screwed up in qualifying runs yesterday and we had to go back to what our original run was and picked up a little bit of speed. If we can start mid-pack, it will be a plus for us for a qualifying effort. I think we have a pretty good Dodge for the race."

AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Hunt Brothers Dodge Charger) Qualified 33rd

"Man, we were just loose. That wasn't a fun lap. We are going to work on setting our car up for long runs here in the final practice and get it ready for tomorrow. We aren't going to start where we want, but if we can get our car as good as we think we can, then we are going to be fine for the race."

KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 40th

"We're not sure what happened (on qualifying lap). I'll have to let the team figure out what's wrong. It's something with the front shocks, front rubber combinations; I just don't know. We'll dissect it and figure it out before tomorrow."

ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Best Buy Dodge Charger) Qualified 42nd

"It obviously wasn't the qualifying lap that we were looking for in our Best Buy Dodge. It's very disappointing because we normally qualify really well here. Something strange was going in with the steering wheel that made the car feel like the car wouldn't turn. We've got another practice this afternoon to get our car right."
