TRAVIS KVAPIL, YATES RACING
No. 28 ALL SPORT Ford Fusion
Travis Kvapil on Homestead:
"Homestead is a really nice track and when they reconfigured it a few years ago, I think they made it even better with the multiple grooves and the added banking. Ford Championship Weekend really is exciting for our team because we always want to produce a strong run for Ford. Homestead is just a really fun track and I like the fact that it's a 1.5-mile oval track because not many 1.5-mile tracks are oval-shaped. The banking just makes it exciting for the drivers and the fans and I like the fact that we have multiple lines and lanes that we can race in. We're bringing a very strong ALL SPORT Ford with us this weekend and based on our races at Michigan and California, which I feel are similar, we should have a great weekend."
Crew chief Todd Parrott on Homestead:
"Racing at Homestead means two things; it's Ford Championship Weekend and it's the last race of the season. This is the last chance that we have to close out the season on a strong note and I'm really looking forward to this weekend's race. We're bringing a car that has performed well for us this season and our team has performed very well on 1.5-mile tracks this year. Homestead lets drivers race multiple lines on the track so basically our focus will be to make sure we have adjustability built into our car's set-up on Sunday since the race starts later in the afternoon and will continue into the evening after the sun sets and track conditions change."
