MIAMI (July 20, 2000) – Homestead-Miami Speedway announced Thursday that single-day tickets for both the November 11 Miami 300 and November 12 Pennzoil 400 are now being offered.
Sunday-only tickets for the Pennzoil 400, the second annual NASCAR Winston Cup Series race, cost $65 in rows 1-10 of the Main Grandstand, and $45 for the Red Grandstand in turn four of the 1.5-mile oval.
Saturday-only tickets for the Miami 300, the Speedway’s sixth annual NASCAR Busch Series finale, cost $35 for rows 1-10 or $30 for the Red Grandstand.
Last year’s inaugural Pennzoil 400 weekend witnessed the crowning of two champions, Dale Jarrett in the Winston Cup and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Busch Series. Bobby Labonte is the current NASCAR Winston Cup points leader, closely challenged by Dale Earnhardt, making a strong bid for an unprecedented eighth championship. Other drivers still in contention include Jarrett, 1999 Pennzoil 400 winner Tony Stewart, Ward and Jeff Burton, Mark Martin, Rusty Wallace, and Jeff Gordon.
“We are making this offer to accommodate race fans who are unable to attend both days of racing,” explained Curtis Gray, President of Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Two-day packages are still available, costing $150 for rows 33-48, $130 for rows 22-32, $110 for rows 21-31, $90 for rows 1-10, or $75 for the Red Grandstand.
Ticket packages are available by calling the Speedway ticket office at (305) 230-RACE, or may be purchased on-line by visiting the Speedway’s official web site, www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com.
