JEFF GREEN (No. 43 Chex Party Mix Dodge Charger)
"It was pushing. We never could get it to turn. We just don't have any front grip. I don't know why."
JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
"I'm pretty happy with that lap. We were free in practice and real free in qualifying. I don't know where that'll put us, but we'll be all right. It's getting cloudy and cooler, but it was a good run for us."
CASEY MEARS (No. 41 Target Dodge Charger)
"That was pretty much what we ran in practice. I thought it had a little more in it. The track is cooling off and it's going to get better. It was a good run for us. I'm looking forward to Sunday. It's a good track for us. I'm real excited about how the car was yesterday in race practice. If we don't do anything wrong we'll be pretty good."
KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Georgia-Pacific/Brawny Dodge Charger)
"We focused on race stuff and that qualify lap was OK. That's about all you can say about it. It wasn't anything special, but it was decent."
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge)
"We've been able to qualify good at times this year. We'll see how it runs tomorrow. We've made a lot of changes at Evernham Motorsports. The guys are doing a great job. We'll see how things go in traffic, and we're going to try to finish off the year strong for all the Dodge Dealers and UAW. This is probably the best qualifying lap I've made in a long time and probably the best the car has felt in qualifying trim. I'm excited about qualifying in the top five again, and I'm looking forward to the race. I think we're going to learn a lot about the Dodge and the team. Ray has put together some new things, and we're getting ready for next year. That's the big thing, to get ready for next season and not have another season like we had this year."
TRAVIS KVAPIL (No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Dodge Charger)
"We took a different approach today and went a lot faster. You can't drive these things like you do a truck, and I feel a lot better about what we'll have tomorrow."
REED SORENSON (No. 09 Miccosukee Resort Dodge Charger)
"That was a good lap. We just wanted to get in the show. We picked up from practice, so you've got to be happy about that. I think we'll do well with our Busch car today and we'll try to have some fun Sunday in the Cup car."
STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Charger)
"We didn't make a qualifying run yesterday, and we got really loose coming to the green and almost spun. We got better as it went, but it was still loose. I think we'll be pretty good in the race."
RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger)
"This was my last ever qualifying attempt and I wanted to make it a good one. It was tight on entry, loose on exit and just not the way I wanted it. I feel good for tomorrow's race. I think I overadjusted for the looseness. I thought it was going to be real loose, and it wasn't as loose as I thought and I lost a lot of speed. That's it now. We've got to get in the race and get going now and get ready for a long day. I'm just moving on. We'll talk about it all tomorrow. I'm disappointed right now that we qualified bad. I didn't expect that at all. I thought we were going to be pretty good. I'm just a racer. I'm not the tears in the beer type of guy right now. We're going to get out there and try to win this last race and then we'll worry about it."
