Kevin Harvick, driver of the Richard Childress Racing No. 29, will be watching instead of participating in today's Virginia 500 at Martinsville. Harvick ran in Saturday's Advance Auto Parts 250, a Craftsman Truck Series event, and NASCAR deemed a particular on track incident as deliberate.

Harvick was drafting with Joe Gibbs Racing driver Coy Gibbs, when Gibbs was hit from behind by Harvick. As punishment, he must sit out today's race.

Earlier this year at Bristol, Harvick was wrecked in a Busch Series event by longtime rival Greg Biffle. Harvick approached Biffle after the race, grabbed his uniform and exchanged words. He was placed on probation until August 28th and fined $15,000.

Kenny Wallace will take over behind the wheel of the No. 29 Chevy at Martinsville.
