HARVICK ON DARLINGTON: "I like the track. It's a real driver's racetrack. I don't nearly have the experience that some of the Winston Cup guys do who have 20 starts there, but I think I've learned a lot in my four races at Darlington. It's really hard on the tires and you have to be up on the wheel at all times. And because your tires wear so quickly, anything can come out and bite you at anytime. You have to be on the lookout for dangerous situations. You run up near the wall and that takes a ton of concentration and nerve."

LAST TIME-DARLINGTON CUP RACE: Harvick finished 14th last March at Darlington in his first ever Cup start at the difficult 1.33-mile oval. Harvick qualified third for the race which is his career high Winston Cup qualifying effort. He matched it the next week with a third at Bristol.

LAST TIME-DARLINGTON BUSCH RACE: Harvick started fifth and finished eighth in the Busch race at Darlington last time. "It wasn't a bad day," Harvick said. "But it wasn't a great day either. The guys did an excellent job in the pits. We made adjustments on every stop and gained positions almost every time. We were a little too tight on that last run. We probably would've made a run into the top five if we could've gotten the car freed up. We definitely learned some things that we'll be able to put to use."

DARLINGTON BUSCH CAR: Harvick will be competing in the Busch race at Darlington in RCR chassis #8. The car is nicknamed "Punisher," and Harvick has captured all but one of his wins this year, every win except Texas, behind the wheel of chassis #8. He has wins at Kentucky, Gateway, IRP and Bristol driving this particular ACDelco Chevrolet.

WINSTON CUP POINTS: Harvick jumped one position in the Winston Cup points with his amazing second place finish at Bristol last Saturday with significant damage to the nose of the GM Goodwrench Service Plus Chevrolet. He currently sits ninth in the points and is just 137 points behind fifth place Tony Stewart. Harvick holds a commanding lead in the rookie of the year race with 264 points to 211 over Kurt Busch.

BUSCH SERIES POINTS: Harvick extended his lead in the Busch Series points standings to 345-points over second place Jason Keller. Harvick has led the points after 18 out of the 24 races so far this year, including after the last ten (10) consecutive races. He has never fallen lower than third all season long.

100th NASCAR WIN FOR RCR: With last week's Busch win at Bristol, Kevin Harvick had the honor of giving Richard Childress his 100th career win as a car owner in NASCAR's major three series, Winston Cup, Busch and Truck.
