CONCORD, N.C. - Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of final practice for the Winston Cup teams at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Cup teams attempted to practice earlier this morning, but a persistent trickle of misty rain slowed the session several times, until it was finally red-flagged.

Weather radar showed poor conditions for the running of the Little Trees 300 for the NASCAR Busch Series tonight, where Cup regular Kevin Harvick is the pole-sitter.

According to NASCAR sources, if the Busch event were to be a washout, it would be run at 11:00 am Saturday morning, forcing several of the Cup competitors to compete in the first-ever NASCAR Cup-Busch doubleheader.
