Hamlin tops the charts in final Daytona 500 practice

Practice is over, qualifying is complete, the Duels have been run ... All that's left is 500 miles.

With a speed of 202.106mph, Denny Hamlin led the way in the eighth and final practice session prior to the running of the 2015 Daytona 500. Kasey Kahne was the only other driver to top 202mph. Kyle Larson, who placed 15th on the speed charts, ran the most laps at 38.

Regan Smith got his first opportunity behind the wheel of the No. 41 today, but did not take draft like many teams opted to. Because of this decision to simply shake down the car, he was down in 30th, but right on pace with Jimmie Johnson who also ran alone.

35 of the 43 starters posted a time in this session. The next time these cars see the race track will be coming to the green flag to kick of the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
