Statement from GM Goodwrench Service regarding NASCAR's penalty from Martinsville.

GRAND BLANC, Mich. (April 17, 2002) - The following is a statement from Jon Brancheau, Director of Brand Marketing for GM Goodwrench Service, regarding NASCAR's penalty dealt to Kevin Harvick from Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

"GM Goodwrench and ACDelco have enjoyed unprecedented success in our relationship with Richard Childress Racing for over fifteen years. Together, we have experienced the ultimate highs and lows of motorsports competition.

"In 2001, the No. 29 GM Goodwrench and No. 2 ACDelco teams' successes were nothing short of remarkable. Kevin has the support of the finest racing team in the business, and along with all of our GM Goodwrench Service Plus Dealers, we are proud of their accomplishments.

"We recognize NASCAR's concern regarding the situation in Martinsville and look forward to seeing Kevin back in the No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet Monte Carlo in Talladega this weekend. As the sponsor, we proudly support the entire RCR organization."
