Statement from GM Goodwrench Service regarding the crew chief/crew swap.

GRAND BLANC, Mich. (May 29, 2002) - The following is a statement from Sue Seaglund, Manager of Event Marketing for GM Goodwrench Service, regarding Richard Childress Racing's decision to interchange the members of the No. 29 and No. 31 teams beginning next week at Pocono Raceway (Long Pond, Pa.).

"GM Goodwrench has enjoyed remarkable success during our relationship with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) for over 15 years. Together, we have experienced nearly everything in motorsports competition.

"We at GM Goodwrench Service appreciate everything the Goodwrench crew has done this year and in years past. They have worked extremely hard and they have always represented us well.

"We understand sometimes change is necessary. We fully support Richard Childress' decision and look forward to more incomparable success with RCR in the future."
