JR-88 sat on the pole at Bristol this past spring in its NWC debut, but suffered a bad break when Jeff Burton's car hit the wall coming out of turn four and collected it as well... finished 34th in that event, but bounced back at Dover in June with a 9th-place backed that effort up a few weeks later at Pocono with a 5th-place ran in the Bristol night race and Martin called it the best car he had all year, but a blown right-front tire sent him into the wall and a 37th-place finish...last start came at Dover (finished 32nd).

Lepage will be making his fifth start with the Ultra Motorsports team after taking over for Mike Wallace at Charlotte last month...this will mark Lepage's first run in this particular Taurus for the intial's last start came at Michigan when Wallace started 32nd and finished 35th.

This car is without a doubt the most-used piece in the Bodine has raced 11 times already in 2001 with those being Michigan (twice), Pocono (twice), Indy, Chicago, Charlotte, Texas, Atlanta, California and Dover...this is also the car that set the track qualifying record at the Brickyard in 2000, which Bodine achieved in the second round.

Wallace will be driving a proven winner this weekend in car #10, which won at Pocono a couple of years sat on the pole at Dover last September and led much of that race before engine failure ended his also finished 2nd at Homestead last season...this is the same car that finished 3rd at Bristol in the spring after starting also ran at Loudon and qualified 3rd, but finished 39th after hitting the wall...last start came at Kansas and ended with a 36th-place run.

Kenseth has posted back-to-back fourth-place finishes at Talladega and Phoenix...comes into this weekend's race with a car that hasn't run since Dover last #14 qualified 13th and finished 16th that afternoon in what proved to be its NWC debut.

Sadler will run a car that has competed in two races so far in 2001...Sadler ran this piece at Pocono in June and finished was supposed to run at Bristol in the spring, but Sadler wrecked on the second lap of practice and had to go to a back-up...this car ran exclusively at Bristol and Dover in 2000, and last raced at Darlington in September (finished 29th).

Spencer has driven this car a few times in 2001...qualified 7th and finished 12th in the July Pocono race, but this Taurus has also competed at Texas and caught up in an accident at Texas and finished 38th, and then qualified 14th at Dover, but got involved in another accident and finished 37th...last time out was at Bristol in the night race and ended early with engine failure (35th).

Rudd has used this Taurus exclusively at the concrete tracks this season... debuted at Bristol in the spring as a brand new piece...qualified 14th for the Food City 500 and finished 10th...competed at Dover in June, qualifying 5th and finishing 10th once Bristol a few weeks ago, Rudd started 5th and finished 4th...last start came at Dover and resulted in a dominating performance...was leading the race when Rudd got involved in an accident with Rusty Wallace...ended up 3rd after spinning.

Craven has brought the same car that competed in back-to-back races at Pocono and Indy earlier this year...finished 10th in the July Pocono event and backed that up with a 9th-place run at the Brickyard...those were the first two races this Taurus had on its resume...Craven drove this piece last at Dover in September and qualified 5th (finished 26th).

Bodine hasn't driven this car since Atlanta earlier this year, but it's proven to be a solid piece...qualified 5th when the car had the number 46 on this side of it for last year's Atlanta finale...was entered as a third Travis Carter entry on that occasion and finished 14th...qualified 3rd for the only Atlanta race this year and finished 18th.

The car Pressley has this weekend has served primarily as a backup since it raced earlier this season...the car's only event came at Atlanta in March and resulted in a 36th-place finish...was forced to drop out with overheating problems after 280 ran a couple of times in 2000, finishing 33rd at Atlanta and 35th at Charlotte.

The last time Jarrett drove this car was at Dover in September...sat on the pole for that event before ending up with a 12th-place also ran in the Bristol night race, qualifying 7th and finishing 6th...this piece had been primarily reserved for Rockingham, especially after winning the fall event here last season....returned to Rockingham this past spring and finished 10th...this will be the car's fourth start in 2001.

Mast will be making his second start for car owner Junie Donlavey after taking over the 90 ride last week at Phoenix...this car has posted a couple of starts in 2001...Hut Stricklin drove it at Kansas, where he finished 35th, and ran it for the final time at Martinsville last month (26th).

Busch is out of provisionals this weekend, so qualifying will be even more important...this car made its NWC debut at Kansas in September...even though he needed a provisional to start the race, he came up through the field and finished 9th.

Fresh off of his second win of the 2001 season last week at Phoenix, Burton will try to solidify his spot in the top 10 with a car that reached victory lane at Charlotte in May...led the most laps in that event, including the final 63 to win the Coca-Cola has another victory to its credit, the 2000 Las Vegas race No Bull 5 event.
