Rusty and PC-27 will be teamed up this weekend and this duo figures to be up front all debuted at Richmond in the fall of 2000 and qualified 5th...led 88 laps before the engine went away, resulting in a 34th-place bounced back at RIR earlier this year and qualified 2nd...led 5 times for 276 laps and ended up 3rd...PC-27 has 7 races on its resume and has 3 top-five finishes...suffered mechanical problems in two events and ran 13th this year at Martinsville... it's last start came at Richmond a few weeks ago when Rusty sat on the outside pole and led five times for 276 laps before finishing 3rd.

Martin will be paired with JR-89 for the third time this year and the first at Martinsville ...the car debuted at Richmond in the spring and Martin promptly stuck it on the pole...led the first 3 laps and ran in the top-five the first half of the race before falling back to then raced at Loudon in July when Martin once again qualified on the front row (2nd) and finished appeared again last month at Richmond and resulted in a 19th-place starting spot and a 19th-place finish.

After a steady 13th-place run in his debut with Ultra Motorsports last week, Lepage will be back in the 7 car here at Martinsville...he'll be driving a brand new car...this piece has tested at Greenville-Pickens and Kentucky, but has served primarily as the team's backup car...this will be its first race.

Bodine has had some success with this car, which normally runs on short tracks or flat surfaces...had two top-20 finishes last year at Phoenix and Homestead with this Taurus...has run it four times in 2001 -- Las Vegas (38th), Martinsville (36th), Richmond (39th) and Loudon (13th).

Wallace had a solid debut with the 12 team last weekend at Charlotte...he'll look to keep that momentum going with a car that has only one race on its resume...Jeremy Mayfield ran this car at Richmond last qualified 30th and finished 29h in its debut.

Kenseth will be driving and oldie but goodie this weekend at #1 is the oldest piece in the 17-car fleet and it actually belonged to Jeff Burton three years ago before Kenseth made the jump to Winston Cup...Matt ran this Taurus during his five-race schedule in '99...has raced this car four times in 2001 with a pair of top-10 finishes...posted a 6th at Martinsville and 8th at Richmond in the spring...also ran at Loudon in July and finished 16th...last race was at Richmond a few weeks ago, which resulted in a 35th-place finish.

Sadler ran this Roush-built car for the first time at Richmond last month when he was eligible for the No Bull 5 bonus...was having a solid night when he got hit from behind and suffered some body was able to make repairs, but finished 31st and 36 laps down to winner Ricky Rudd.

Spencer earned his second pole of the season last weekend at Charlotte and eventually settled for an 11th-place showing... Spencer has had nothing but good luck with this car in has competed four times this year and has three top-10 finishes...the last time it ran was at Richmond last month and posted an 8th-place finish (started 25th) Loudon, this car finished 4th and here at Martinsville in the spring it ran 9th...only finish outside the top 10 came in the spring Richmond event when Spencer qualified 5th and finished 16th.

Rudd has driven this particular Taurus only once in 2001 and it happened to be here at Martinsville in the spring...was leading that event until teammate Dale Jarrett passed him in the closing #83 has been primarily used on the flat short-track surfaces the past two years...Rudd also ran the same car in this event last season and posted a 4th-place finish.

Craven brought this car to Loudon in July, where it raced for the very first time...this Taurus was built in-house at the team's shop in Hickory and this will mark its second race...Craven was having a good day at Loudon, but ended up suffering engine problems and finished 38th.

Bodine would like to have better luck this week with this particular car than he had in its debut was brand new here at Martinsville and qualified 12th, but engine problems limited his day to just 12 laps...ended up placing 43rd that day...has run twice since then, finishing 30th at Richmond and 15th at Loudon.

Pressley will have car #8 this weekend, a piece that started off as the back-up for got called into duty when Pressley was involved in an accident during practice and that proved to be a blessing in disguise as he drove it to a 10th-place finish in the NAPA Auto Parts last competed at Pocono in July and finished 9th.

Jarrett posted his first NWC win at Martinsville here in the spring and he's brought back the same car for this weekend's fact, this car has posted two of Jarrett's four wins in 2001...the last time Jarrett drove this Taurus he ended up in victory lane at Loudon in July...besides those two wins, the car's only other race came at Richmond, where Jarrett finished 15th.

This is a fairly new car for Stricklin, one that saw its first race action a couple of weeks ago at Kansas... Stricklin got the final provisional spot for that event and ended up finishing made its debut at Richmond last month, but did not make the field.

Busch has car #35 this weekend...the last time he drove this car was at Richmond and it ended up in the wall after an accident in has been repaired and ready for action this weekend...also ran in the first Richmond race, qualifying 31st and finishing 18th.

Burton will drive this particular car for the fifth time this season...led for a 128-lap stretch at Martinsville before surrendering the lead to Ricky Rudd and finishing 3rd...Burton finished 14th with this piece here at Richmond in the spring and then finished 11th at Loudon...last time out, Burton qualified this car 4th at Richmond and finished 9th.
