Fresh off his best NWC finish in a restrictor-plate race (3rd at Daytona last week), Rusty has to be considered a favorite this weekend...Why you ask, because he's driving the car known as PC-20, which has been nothing short of a rocket ship in its two races this sat on the pole and led the most laps at both Martinsville and Richmond, but did not reach victory lane due to late-race pit strategy... finished 10th at Martinsville (won by Mark Martin) and 5th at Richmond (won by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.).

Martin and his Valvoline/Cummins team have seemingly regained their top-notch form as they come into this weekend having posted three straight top-five that stretch he has moved up from 9th to 7th in the point standings and is only 2 points behind Ricky Rudd for 6th...Martin will be running JR-82, which debuted at Bristol back in March... qualified 34th for that race and finished tested the car last week at Lakeland.

Compton had a good run going last week until getting caught up in the accident involving Bill Elliott and finished 39th...running a car this weekend that debuted at Pocono last month...struggled out of the box as it qualified 39th and finished 37th. 11 BRETT BODINE
This car proved to be one of the better ones for Bodine as it qualified a season-high 4th at Martinsville back in involved in an accident during the race and finished 36th, but is optimistic for this debuted last year at Homestead and finished 40th.

Mayfield is one of four multiple winners in 2000...he comes into this weekend with a car that last ran at was strong in qualifying as it started the race 5th...led two times for a total of 49 laps before suffering engine problems and dropping out of the race on lap 212 of the 400 lap event.

This will mark the third time Lepage has driven this car in 2000...the first time came at Bristol, where he finished 30th...the second time was at Richmond, where he had to take a provisional (started 39th) and finished was part of Johnny Benson's fleet last year when he ran the No. 26 Cheerios Taurus for Roush Racing.

Like Lepage, Kenseth will have a car that was driven by another Roush Racing member previously...this car originally belonged to Jeff Burton, who ran it in '98 and part of '99...Kenseth actually ran this car a couple of times last season when he competed in 5 NWC races...ran this car at Dover last season and ran 4th.

Sadler ran this car here at New Hampshire last fall and was running in the top 10 until he was hit from behind late in the race and finished 14th...ran this car earlier in the year at Darlington and had one of his best weekends (qualified 6th and finished 12th) eight races at NHIS, the Wood Brothers have completed 99.5% of all laps run...the team's best finishing position came in 1995, when driver Morgan Shepherd finished 2nd.

The car Spencer is driving this week ran for the first and only time in 2000 at Richmond back in May...qualified 22nd and finished 17th that evening ...hanging on to 25th position in the point standings...has been in the top 25 since Bristol.

Rudd's impressive streak continued at Daytona last week, where he finished 5th...that marked his 6th top-five finish in the last 8 races and kept him 6th in the point standings for the second straight week...his car for this weekend has not run in 2000, but the team did take it down to Lakeland USA the Wednesday before Daytona to test.

Brad Parrott will be making his debut as crew chief for Pruett this weekend after spending the last 4 years with Dale Jarrett's team...Pruett will have the same car he drove at Richmond and Martinsville this banged around quite a bit at Martinsville and finished 32nd... faired slightly better at RIR with a 27th-place tested the car three weeks ago at the Milwaukee Mile, which, according to the team, is similar to Loudon except the corners are a bit longer.

DW told his team he wanted a new car for Loudon, so they built him one...they tested the piece on Wednesday at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina...DW is coming off his second-best finish of the year when he ended up 27th last week at Daytona.

After a 21st-place finish last week at Daytona, the 75 team is enthusiastic about the second half of sponsor America Online debuts this weekend, which is the first of three races in which it will appear on the team's hood...Dallenbach will drive the same car he had at Richmond and finished a season-high 16th. 77 ROBERT PRESSLEY
Pressley has been solid in the last three oval-track races with nothing but top-20 finishes...ran 5th at Michigan, 11th at Pocono and 17th at Daytona ...has run this car twice in 2000 (Dover and Richmond)...still looking for success with it, however...hit the wall at Richmond and finished 35th and was 26th a few weeks later at Dover. 88 DALE JARRETT
Currently third in the NWC standings, Jarrett looks to continue to gain ground with a car that will be making its 16th all-time start...has run twice so far in 2000, competing at Martinsville and Richmond...made its way through the field from 28th position to finish 5th at Martinsville and then posted a 3rd-place effort at Richmond.

Crew chief Dean Johnson has never run this car before, but he said it has a lot of race experience since being built in ' has not run so far this season, but Berrier and company are pretty happy after a season-best 26th-place run last week at Daytona.

Elliott hopes to rebound from a disappointing Pepsi 400 by running one of his best cars this weekend...the car named "Cha-Ching" will be racing for the fourth time in 2000...has three top-10 finishes to its credit in its first three races of the year -- was 4th at Las Vegas; 8th at Martinsville; and 9th at Richmond.

Little will be without crew chief Jeff Hammond this weekend...Hammond remained back home in North Carolina to tend to his ill father...chassis specialist Eddie Pardue will make the calls this weekend in Hammond's place...Pardue, who also handles spotting duties on race day, will have a brand new car to work with this weekend. 99 JEFF BURTON
After posting his first NWC restrictor-plate win last week at Daytona, Burton will try to make it four straight victories here at New Hampshire in this event...will have the same car he finished 7th with at Richmond earlier this had never seen a track until that event and has not raced since has a sticker on the hood this week commemorating the anniversary of the Korean War.
