Here are some notes on Ford teams and the cars they will be running this weekend:

2 RUSTY WALLACE
The defending champion of this event will be running PC-35, which debuted here at Bristol back in the spring...this will mark the car's third race...car qualified 4th for the Food City 500 and finished 7th...it's only other appearance came at Dover in June...Rusty started 3rd and led one lap before being forced back into the pits for some loose lugnuts...that cost him track position and resulted in a 21st-place finish.

6 MARK MARTIN
Martin experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows his first trip to Bristol this year...he won the pole with JR-88 -- the same car he has brought this weekend -- but then got collected in teammate Jeff Burton's accident and finished 34th...car was repaired and back in action in June for the Dover and Pocono races...posted top-10 finishes in each of those events (9th at Dover and 5th at Pocono).

7 MIKE WALLACE
This will mark the second time Wallace has raced this Taurus in '01...chassis #009 ran for the only other time at Las Vegas in the third race of the season...took a provisional to make the field (39th) and finished 32nd...standard Hopkins chassis.

11 BRETT BODINE
Bodine finished 27th in the spring race here after getting involved in an accident in practice and going to a backup...will be driving the same car he had in this event a year ago...qualified 14th for that race and finished 28th.

12 JEREMY MAYFIELD
The car Mayfield will drive this weekend is car #10 and its had a good deal of success...sate on the pole at Dover last September and led much of that race before engine failure ended his day...car also finished 2nd at Homestead last season...this is the same car that finished 3rd here at Bristol in the spring after starting 30th...it also ran at Loudon and qualified 3rd, but finished 39th after hitting the wall.

17 MATT KENSETH
Kenseth is hoping that car #13 will keep his momentum going from last week when he finished 4th...has the same Taurus that ran here at Bristol in the spring and finished 14th...that marked the car's debut event.

21 ELLIOTT SADLER
Don't mess with a good thing...that's the attitude of the 21 team this weekend as they've brought back the same car that went to victory lane here in the spring...Sadler led the final 70 laps in posting his first NWC victory and overcame pitting on the backstretch by going the last 163 laps on one set of tires.

26 JIMMY SPENCER
The last time Spencer drove this Taurus was a few weeks ago at Pocono (July)...qualified 7th and finished 12th that afternoon...car has also competed this year at Texas and Dover...got caught up in an accident at Texas and finished 38th, and then qualified 14th at Dover, but got involved in another accident and finished 37th.

28 RICKY RUDD
Rudd debuted this car here at Bristol in the spring as a brand new piece...qualified 14th for the Food City 500 and finished 10th...last time it competed was at Dover in June when Rudd qualified 5th and finished 10th once again.

32 RICKY CRAVEN
Fresh off of his career-best second-place finish last week at Michigan, Craven has dipped deep into the PPI stable for this week's Taurus...this car was actually painted in the McDonald's colors and was driven by Andy Houston at Texas...Houston qualified 12th for that event and finished 32nd...this is the first in-house chassis built by PPI.

66 TODD BODINE
Bodine will be driving a car he hasn't raced since Rockingham last February...the weekend was a struggle as Bodine took a provisional and started 39th (finished 34th)...this car also ran at the end of the 2001 season as Darrell Waltrip drove it at Loudon, Martinsville and Phoenix the final two months of the season.

77 ROBERT PRESSLEY
Pressley qualified 9th for this event a year ago until an accident forced him back to a 37th-place finish...he'll have the same car that ran at Las Vegas earlier this season...finished 16th in that event, which was the same result he had with this piece at Homestead in 2000...car also ran in last year's Brickyard 400 and finished 27th.

88 DALE JARRETT
Jarrett will be looking to bounce back from a couple of tough weeks with a car that has primarily been reserved for Rockingham...crew chief Todd Parrott said this is a solid piece...it has one victory to its credit with that coming in the second Rockingham event of 2000...returned to that track in the spring and finished 10th.

90 HUT STRICKLIN
Stricklin will be hoping for much better things this time around at Bristol after he failed to make the field for the Food City 500 earlier this year...will be driving this car for the first time in 2001, but it has been to the track on a number of occasions as the team's backup piece.

96 ANDY HOUSTON
Houston will be driving the oldest car in the PPI stable...this will mark the car's first event of 2001, but Houston does have one race behind the wheel with it...qualified 30th and finished 26th with this particular car last year at Rockingham (in October).

97 KURT BUSCH
Busch debuted this brand new car at Martinsville in April and struggled much of the weekend...started 41st and finished 33rd in just his second short-track event as a Winston Cup driver.

99 JEFF BURTON
Burton's car debuted earlier this year at Darlington and posted an 18th-place finish after starting 36th...this will mark its fourth race of 2001...in addition to Darlington, this Taurus also competed at Texas (finished 19th) and Dover (finished 31st).

09 GEOFFREY BODINE
Bodine will make his 2001 NWC debut this weekend as he drives a second car for brother Brett's team...sponsored by Smirnoff Ice, Bodine will have the same car Brett drove at Loudon earlier this year and finished 13th.
